Dictator Sheikh Hasina's trial begins in Bangladesh in the ICT

Image
In July–August 2024 , a widespread student-led uprising led to over 1,400 deaths , according to UN estimates. The interim government accuses Hasina’s administration of ordering a brutal crackdown.  As a result, Sheikh Hasina and key officials like Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun faced arrest warrants and multiple charges of crimes against humanity , including abetment, conspiracy, facilitation, complicity, and failure to prevent mass murder. Formal indictments were filed on July 10, 2025 , framing five specific charges.   Hasina fled Bangladesh via helicopter and has been living in self-imposed exile in India since early August 2024. Bangladesh has issued multiple extradition requests , but India has not responded. On June 1, 2025 , the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) took formal cognizance of the charges and began the trial in absentia , broadcasting proceedings live for the first time. Water pollution - sustaining water bodies for future

Water pollution - sustaining water bodies for future  - Nurul Mostafa Kamal Zafari  ⚫🟡⚫ Water is everywhere. But not a single drop to drink. Yesterday I was travelling from one of the islands in Bangladesh's southern part. This island is famous for producing betel leaf (a leaf chewed by south-estern folks with some other spices, especially betel nut) and once abundant with drinkable water including surface water. In the speed boat, I was chatting with some of the passengers, one of them is old, Sadhan Dutt, expereinced, seemed, was a little bit nervous and excited as his betel leaf gardens are under water for excessive rainfall. His point is very clear, water is excessively available when it is not needed but scarce when it is needed so much.  Then another passenger responded with a different tone. A woman, Fojila Begum, seemingly house wife, couldn't water her kitchen gardens during dry season. She is almost 70 as she couldn't recall her actual birthday. She used ...

The Satans of Africa - Nurul Mostafa Kamal Zafari

Image
The Satans of Africa Nurul Mostafa Kamal Zafari , CPMS, CPgMS, SRMP-C, SRMP-R … Do you know a piece of land where every inches of it is enriched with jewels? And you will be stranded to know that this piece of land is the most impoverished land in the entire world. I am referring to Africa, the continent of light as I disagree to call it as the ‘darkest continent’. I want to call it ‘the land of jewels’ in terms of great civilizations, inspiring human beings and valuable mineral resources. Africa is not only the ultimate destination of all human races but also it dictates the world how the world should be. It hosts the entire humanity with its blood and toil. Africa has been raped by the butchers from every occupying nation like Arabs, Europeans and Americans. Colonized Africa has been labeled as ‘dark’ where organized religion is derived before the Arab or other religions, colonial masters have labeled Africa as illiterate where Egyptian writers invented the first writing script...
